Celebrity Chef John Besh Faces Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Celebrity chef John Besh and co-owner of Besh Restaurant Group, has been accused of sexual harassment by more than two dozen women alleging that his company fostered a culture of sexual abuse.

The allegations reported by Nola.com/The Times-Picayune, describe instances where “several male co-workers and bosses touched female employees without consent, made suggestive comments about their appearance and – in a few cases – tried to leverage positions of authority for sex.”

In addition, two separate complaints have been filed with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission by Reynolds and another former employee. In her complaint, Reynolds mentions “vulgar and offensive comments, aggressive un-welcomed touching and sexual advances were condoned and sometimes even encouraged by managers and supervisors” at the Besh Group.

The second complaint mentioned Besh “continued to attempt to coerce (her) to submit to his sexual overtures” during a months-long sexual relationship when she worked for him, and that some BRG employees engaged in “retaliation” when she sought to end the relationship.
